Catrice Heavy Metallilac with Sally Hansen Golden-I half moons

Catrice Heavy Metallilac with Sally Hansen Golden-I half moon

Still no inspiration for any nail art so decided on simple half moons. The half moons are done using Sally Hansen Golden-I, a shimmery gold foil and the purple is Catrice Heavy Metallilac, a medium purple with pink shimmer.

Catrice Wheels on Fire from Catrice polish haul

Catrice Wheels on Fire

I hauled quite a few Catrice nail polishes a while ago and am starting to swatch them. Here is the first one, Catrice Wheels on Fire, a bright pink coral with silver shimmer. This is 2 coats without top coat. The first coat went on quite patchy but wasn't too bad after the second coat. I had been wanting a pink coral polish for some time but this leans rather neon-ish, which is not exactly what I expected.

Ettusais Foamy Rich Mousse & BB Mineral White

Ettusais Foamy Rich Mousse & BB Mineral White

It's a rare non-nail related post but I have to rant a little about the Ettusais Foamy Rich Mousse which is supposed to be a "5-in 1 multi-functional foamy cleanser and makeup remover" that promises to enable you to "skip double cleansing". However, I found it not that effective and definitely will not depend on it to clean off my makeup thoroughly. It also has a citrus/lemon smell which I do not like, even though it is supposed to be fragrance fee.

On the other hand, Ettusais BB Mineral White is not too bad. I like that it has SPF45 PA++ and its coverage is quite sufficient for me.

Sally Hansen All Yarned Up over Essence Grunge Me Tender

Sally Hansen All Yarned Up over Essence Grunge Me Tender

I was curious about Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat series so when I saw it on sale, decided to try one out and picked Sally Hansen All Yarned Up as I figured that the multi-colored matte bar glitter (blue, yellow, peach) will go with more colors? :p

So here is 2 coats of Sally Hansen All Yarned Up over 3 coats of Essence Grunge Me Tender.

Sally Hansen Confetti Punch over Couleur Inc Baked Alaska 61

Here is 1 coat of Sally Hansen Confetti Punch, which is is a magenta fine glitter/small hex glitter and blue larger hex glitter, over 2 coats of Couleur Inc Baked Alaska 61, a dusty plum with gold shimmer. The latter is lovely and quite cheap, big 3 free and with nice consistency ;)

Orly Flicker

Orly Flicker

I was actually planning to use Orly Flicker as a base for a Halloween theme mani (I'm still catching up on my posts >.< ) but totally didn't have any time or inspiration unlike last year so here's just a plain swatch.

Orly Flicker is like a glow-from-within burnt orange, but I had a little difficulty applying it as it will drag if I tried to go over the same area more than once. Anyway, this is 2 coats and below is another shot.

Etude House PBL601 and Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop

Etude House PBL601 and Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop

This is from some weeks back when I still had time for nail art (my subsequent posts will be much plainer >.<). Anyway, this is Etude House PBL601, a milky light blue with multi color hex glitters in 2 sizes, and Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop, a pink base with multi color hex glitters as well. Please ignore the staining, which was caused by Essence Off to Miami (beware!)

Etude House PBL601 looks blue-er in the bottle than on the nails. On the nails, it was more whitish and I had to apply 3 coats to get closer to bottle shade. Will probably try it over a blue base next time.

Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop normally doesn't look too flattering on my skin tone but it works well here when mixed with Etude House PBL601.

The white lines were using acrylic paint and I like the resulting patchwork-like/wrapping paper look of this :)

Essence Destination Sunshine with flowers

Essence Destination Sunshine with flowers

Been really busy for the last few weeks, finally trying to catch up on my posts -_-"

This is Essence Destination Sunshine sponged on and the flowers were dotted on using Essence Absolutely Blue and Orly Cotton Candy. I dabbed on a glittery holographic clear polish from Daiso between the clear and yellow polish as well.

That's all for this simple mani...thanks for viewing!
